Wall art, oil on canvas - commissioned by AstraZeneca plc for their Manchester office
A unique opportunity to own this dramatic artwork, one of a number of canvasses commissioned by AstraZeneca (one of the leading BioPharmaceutical companies in the UK) some years ago to decorate their offices at Renaissance Court, Manchester. A subsequent 'wind of change' resulted in the paintings being offered to members of staff, and it was from an employee's family member that this painting was purchased - the artist's name was not revealed.
The back story is mentioned purely out of interest as this stunning abstract requires no added provenance to boost its inherent appeal.
This is a large and imposing oil painting on stretched canvas over a wooden frame. Good condition.

Frosty Morning - signed original by Caroline Hyde-Brown
Beautiful textile art utilising a mixture of materials and stitching with 'glistening' thread which captures the title perfectly. Inspired by the cycle of nature, Caroline uses only natural fabrics, the colours are extracted from flowers, herbs and vegetables grown in her own garden.
Signed and titled in pencil on the mount. Ink stamp on the reverse with name and contact details. Artwork in excellent condition, colours remaining vivid. The slightest imperfections to the frame only noticeable under scrutiny.
Caroline originally trained in fashion design and in 1995, after graduating in Textiles and Fine Art she worked freelance for Liberty, John Lewis and the Japanese store Takashimaya. In 2002 she was selected on behalf of the national British Craft Promotion to travel and work across the East and West coast of Japan, exhibiting her work alongside the Princess Diana Althorp Collection.
